When I photographed the lion in this painting so many years ago now I wasn’t expecting it to turn into such an emotional piece for me, its been quite a difficult project for so many reasons some personal and some art related. But the feedback from the work in progress photos over on my instagram have been especially inspiring and I’m so glad he’s finished. I have absolutely loved painting these big cats and I can’t wait to start my next piece.
