A surprise commission for a client of mine, this was such a nice portrait to do I was so excited to see what her owner would think. This portrait was commissioned for Lola’s owner so I decided to try and match their portraits with a similar background and I think the colours and lighting really suits them both. Such a pleasure painting these pups, I love commissions like this 💛

Another miniature painting, I wanted to keep the background a bit painterly and whimsical for this lovely mare, described as a gentle giant, friend and complete war horse. She is beautiful, I’ve loved painting her!

So honoured to have been asked to draw this cheeky lady, she was a family horse but loved by everyone, sadly no longer with us so this memorial portrait brought a tear to her owners eye. I fell in love with the lighting in this photo and really wanted to capture that in my painting
